Chinese military annoyed by Indian naval ship’s drills with the Philippines navy

Earlier this month, INS Kadmatt during its visit to the Philippines participated in a maritime exercise in the West Philippines Sea (WPS), alongside BRP Ramon Alcaraz, an offshore patrol vessel of the Philippine Navy.

Beijing, peeved over the recent naval exercises between the navies of India and the Philippines in the disputed WPS the Chinese military on Thursday said defense cooperation between different countries should not harm the interests of third countries and regional peace. The conduct of naval exercise is to promote camaraderie and synchronized movement once an armed attack from any opponents.

Answering a question from Chinese official media about naval exercises between an Indian naval ship and the Philippines naval vessel besides plans by France to hold naval and air drills with the Philippine Navy more countries are supporting the Philippines legitimate claim in the WPS under the UNCLOS ruling.
