Japan and the Philippines are Demanding to China the Removal of Buoys within their EEZ

Japan and the Philippines has told Beijing to remove the buoy that it found floating in the sea near of their EEZ in Japan it was installed 80 kilometers near the disputed Senkaku islands within Japan EEZ

In the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) strongly condemn the China Coast Guard’s (CCG’s) installation of floating barrier in the Southeast portion of Bajo de Masinloc (BDM), which prevents Filipino Fishing Boats (FFBs) from entering the shoal and depriving them of their fishing and livelihood activities. This activity of CCG is doing actions that was prohibited under the UNCLOS ruling.

“Installing structures in our nation’s EEZ without our consent violates regulations related to the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea,” said Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno.
